Macular Degeneration Care

Age-related macular degeneration, or AMD, is one of the leading causes of vision loss in adults over 50, affecting the central part of your vision that you rely on for reading, driving, recognizing faces, and everyday tasks. AMD comes in two forms: dry macular degeneration, which progresses gradually as the retinal tissue thins over time, and wet macular degeneration, which involves abnormal blood vessel growth and can cause more rapid vision loss if left untreated. Many patients are unaware they have early AMD because it causes no pain and often no noticeable symptoms until the condition has already advanced. Early detection through regular eye exams is the single most important step you can take to protect your central vision.

At Bespoke Eye Care, we use advanced retinal imaging and optical coherence tomography to detect the earliest signs of macular degeneration, often long before changes affect your vision. For patients already diagnosed with dry or wet AMD, we provide ongoing monitoring and work closely with retinal specialists when intervention such as anti-VEGF injections is needed. We also provide personalized guidance on AREDS2 supplementation, diet, and lifestyle modifications that support long term macular health. Our goal is to help every patient hold on to their central vision for as long as possible.
